Which data do we process?
- Listing data: name or salon name, city, exact salon address, price or budget, availability and description. The exact address is excluded from public pages and APIs and is only shared after the owner accepts an application.
- Contact details: e-mail address and (optionally) phone number.
- Applications: name, email, optional phone, service, city, preferred days, budget, self-employed status, portfolio and message.
- Account: your e-mail address and an encrypted password (never stored in readable form).
- Technical: a hashed (irreversibly encrypted) form of your IP address, only to prevent abuse and spam. We do not keep readable IP addresses.
What do we use them for?
- Showing your listing on the offers page.
- Delivering an application to the listing owner. The applicant receives the contact details and exact address only after the owner accepts the application.
- Sending e-mails related to your listing: activation, management link, password reset.
- Preventing abuse (spam, scraping).
- Reviewing and handling reports about potentially incorrect or unsafe listings.
Legal basis
We process data to perform our agreement with you (account, listing and requested application), based on your consent (transmitting an application, analytics and voluntary alerts), and based on our legitimate interest (security, fraud prevention and service improvement). You may withdraw consent at any time.
Service providers and recipients
We do not sell your data. FlexSalon does use selected technical providers:
- OVHcloud for server hosting and infrastructure in the EU.
- Combell / MailProtect for domain and transactional email services.
- OpenAI when you voluntarily use the AI assistant; only your question and limited public listing information are processed.
- OpenStreetMap, Google Fonts and unpkg for map tiles and static web files; your IP address may technically be visible when these resources load.
Where required, we enter into data-processing agreements. Some providers may process data outside the EEA using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. FlexSalon does not use advertising tracking.
How long do we keep your data?
A listing stays online until the owner or administrator removes it. An unanswered application is deleted after 90 days; a processed application no later than 180 days after its last update. A personal management link expires after no more than 180 days and can be renewed from your account. Deleted and expired listings are periodically erased. Security logs are kept only as long as needed.
Your rights (GDPR)
You can view, correct or have your data deleted at any time. The fastest way is via your own management page or a single e-mail to info@flexsalon.be. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be) or, if you live in the Netherlands, with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (autoriteitpersoonsgegevens.nl).
Cookies & local storage
We use necessary local storage in your browser: your language choice, your cookie choice and — if you log in — your session, so you stay signed in. We only use analytical cookies or storage after your consent. We do not place advertising cookies.
